Here's Alegría, a little suite for piano commissioned by Stories Con Spirito!!
It is a three-movement suite celebrating childhood imagination, and it is based on different experiments with Dominican culture.
I. Bach-ata is a piece that combines Bach's BWV 846 with elements of bachata (Dominican genre), and jazz-influenced harmonies.
II. Bonao is a series of three improvised miniatures:
a) kah-kow
b) lluvia de naranjas
c) cán | dido bidó
III. La Renta de Oscar is an homage to Oscar de la Renta, important Dominican fashion designer.
